Folders

Organize and share items using folders. The folder list appears in the sidebar of the app page.

Folder list

  • Shows all folders at the root level (no subfolders).

  • Hover a folder to open the popover for actions (Edit / Clone / Delete).

  • Clicking a folder lists all that folder’s items.

New Folder

Create a folder from the folder list in the sidebar to organize items and control access for your team.

  • In the folder list on the sidebar of the app page, click the New Folder icon button at the bottom, the New Folder modal opens.

Edit Folder

Edit an existing folder’s details, sharing.

  • In the folder list on the sidebar of the app page, hover over the folder you want to edit.

  • Click the open popover icon button.

  • In the popover menu, click Edit, the Edit Folder modal opens.

Clone Folder

Create a new folder by cloning the details and items of an existing folder.

  • In the folder list on the sidebar of the app page, hover over the folder you want to edit.

  • Click the open popover icon button.

  • In the popover menu, click Clone, the Clone Folder modal opens.

Delete Folder

Remove a folder from the folder list.

  • In the folder list on the sidebar of the app page, hover over the folder you want to edit.

  • Click the open popover icon button.

  • In the popover menu, click Delete, the Delete Folder modal opens.

Input Fields

  • Folder Name (required) The display name shown in the folder list.

  • Owner (required) The user who owns the folder.

  • Shared To (optional) Pick a Group to share the folder with. If empty, the folder is private to the owner/admins.

  • Role (required) Access level for the selected group (applies to this folder and its child items).

Roles

  • Read Only

    • Folder: read only

    • Items in the folder: read only

  • Read & Write

    • Folder: read only

    • Items in the folder: read & write

  • Manage

    • Folder: read & write

    • Items in the folder: read, write, and manage (can change sharing on the folder and its items)

Tip: Choose Manage only for trusted power users who should administer sharing and structure.

Buttons

  • Save

    • Save the folder.

    • On success: the saved folder appears immediately in the folder list. The modal closes.

  • Delete

    • Deletes the folder record only.

    • On success: the folder is removed from the folder list. The modal closes.

  • Cancel

    • Closes the modal without saving changes.

Behavior details

  • All folders are created at the root level.

  • Users without folder access will not see the folder or its items in the folder list or search.

  • The clone includes folder and all items from the original folder.

  • Items are not deleted—they move to the My Personal Folder of the item owner.

  • If user does not have permission to edit the folder, the modal title changes to View Folder, all input fields are read-only, and the Save button is disabled.
